Opera 15 for PC and Mac was just released recently but now the company has brought the updates to its Android browser with the same Chromium backbone. The latest version of Opera for Android, version 15, features faster startup times as well as a new video downloader.

The browser will use Chrome 28’s engine, which was just released yesterday. Using this engine should make for some faster launches and better performance all around. Bugs have also been fixed, including the annoying memory leak bug.

Perhaps the most interesting new feature is the ability to download video files and play them from within Opera for Android. Users can set a specific download location for the videos and watch them at a later time.

Last but not least, Opera for Android gains a new “open in private tab” button, making it easier than ever to start a private browsing tab.
